Do Good
It has been our intention from the beginning to do good and give back. That’s why we make only the highest quality clothing from sustainable fabrics and source our production locally in support of other female-owned small businesses. It’s also why we’ve launched this initiative to support like-minded organizations that are creating a positive impact in our community and in the lives of girls and young women.
Currently Giving: Black Girls Code is devoted to showing the world that black girls can code, and do so much more. By reaching out to the community through workshops and after school programs, Black Girls Code introduces computer coding lessons to young girls from underrepresented communities in programming languages such as Scratch or Ruby on Rails.
Black Girls Code has set out to prove to the world that girls of every color have the skills to become the programmers of tomorrow. By promoting classes and programs we hope to grow the number of women of color working in technology and give underprivileged girls a chance to become the masters of their technological worlds. Black Girls Code’s ultimate goal is to provide African-American youth with the skills to occupy some of the 1.4 million computing job openings expected to be available in the U.S. by 2020, and to train 1 million girls by 2040.

Girls On The Run Twin Cities
Girls On The Run is an amazing non-profit program that builds confidence and self-esteem through fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. The experience culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k run.
Girls On The Run has such a powerful message of confidence and self-worth, I can’t think of a better organization to be our inaugural Do Good recipient. You can learn more about their mission and upcoming 5k run at www.gotrtwincities.com.
